As owner, operator of WaterStone Estate & Farms, Deborah brings years
of diverse management and production experience to the facility. Deborah
worked in the film and television industry for 15 years as an editor,
writer, producer and director. Taking a leave of absence from the film
industry, Deborah pursued her love of horses and the outdoors and soon
discovered the emerging field of Equine Assisted Therapy and Personal
Development. Deborah has received certifications from internationally
acclaimed horse trainer Chris Irwin, founder of Irwin Institute of
Equestrian Arts and best-selling author of 'Horses Don't Lie' and
'Dancing With Your Dark Horse', and from Linda Kohanov, founder of Epona
Equestrian Services and whose books 'The Tao of Equus' and 'Riding
Between the Worlds' have garnered international attention in the field of
equine experiential learning. Deborah is also a Level 1 certified EAGALA
trainer. Deborah is completing her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology
as well as her certification in Theraplay©, a specialized play therapy
modality for children and families. Deborah is a contributing author of
“Applications of Family and Group Theraplay”, Rowan and Littlefield
Publishers Inc., 2009. Deborah is a member of the following

Rachel Noonan
- Lesson Coordinator

As Lesson
Coordinator and Program Director for WaterStone Estate & Farms,
Rachel brings extensive equine experience including barn managing, show grooming, and 17
years of riding and showing.
Rachel has a BAH in Women's Studies as well as a Social Service Diploma. She has worked and volunteered with
special needs riders and plans to continue expanding her career in Equine
Assisted Therapy and Personal Development. Rachel is currently working towards her
Equine Canada Instructor Level.
Kat Schatzler
- Instructor, A circuit competitor, Statium Course Designer at Headwater
Horse Trails.

Kat has a strong
background in the hunters/jumpers and competed successfully on the 'A'
circuit for 10 years. She has been an active instructor for 16
years and has coached her students to various levels of competition
including local schooling shows and horse trials, Trillium shows, provincial
championships, and 'A' circuit. Kat started riding over 20 years
ago and has had the opportunity to train with some of Canada's top
hunter/jumper riders. She believes in positive feedback for both
horse and rider and consistently reinforces "back to basics" in
order to create soft, quiet and confident riders. This approach has
enabled her students to progress consistently in their abilities and to
adapt easily to a variety of horses and disciplines. Kat is also a Stadium Course designer
and has designed courses for the Headwater Horse Trials.
Teresa Hills
- Equine Canada Level 1 Coach
Teresa is a
registered Equine Canada Coach Level
1 and is certified to do Rider level testing through Equine Canada.
With over 25 years of riding experience and 17 years of coaching,
primarily Hunter/Jumper, she covers many riding disciplines. From
starting a horse, or coaching through a Hunter/Jumper class at a show, Teresa
teaches the basics and can work with riders through to the most advanced
levels. She has successfully taught Western, Dressage
and has Judged many schooling shows. Being an excellent communicator and
accomplished rider, she effectively teaches riding techniques with ease
and understanding. Owning horses of her own and having many years of barn
management, Teresa has a lot of knowledge and experience to share.
Jennalyn
Weber

Jennalyn Webber
has been riding since the age of 10, and has sucessfully shown on the A
circuit in hunters and jumpers for the past 6 years. She has ridden with some of the
best coaches in the industry, providing her with expert experience in
training and teaching. Jennalyn graduated from Olds College in Alberta,
where she majored in Equine Science Business Management.
